‘Oh No Charlie Farley’ was a gift given to us in South Africa from family visiting us from England. My daughter and I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this book every day. I can recite this book off by heart. We read it at least once a day, if not more.Thank you for writing such a special message in B’s book. Definitely one to be cherished. We cannot wait to explore more with Charlie Farley when we get the next books.

We received this beautiful book as a gift and my three boys LOVE it! It's such a heartwarming tale, written so thoughtfully and illustrated beautifully. This story immediately became a family favourite, which I know the children will be requesting regularly at bedtime. I think the extra features at the end of the book are very special, too, with a section for parents and teachers, as well as a fun activity guide. And my children also found it very interesting to read about how the story came to life (as well as mum!). We look forward to the next book in this range 😍

Perfect book, absolutely amazing
Honestly an amazing book I’ve purchased from her website and it is absolutely perfect my nephew loves it I couldn’t be more happy with my purchase it is a perfect interactive children’s book or just an amazing story before bed I definitely recommend her book and the new ones to come !

A wonderful, charming story about being special and unique
This is such a wonderful story. My boys thoroughly enjoyed reading about Charlie Farley and his adventures. The illustrations are also beautiful and vivid. They especially loved exploring Charlie’s activity guide at the end of the book. I would highly recommend purchasing this amazing book!

Great story, superb illustrations - highly recommend!
My boys loved this book. Easy to follow story, interesting illustrations and lots for parents to talk to their children about when reading. It's very handy having talking points outlined at the end of the book. Lovely.

You’re never too old to enjoy a children’s book!
Roy at 91, love's this book I think it makes him laugh. I could highly recommend this lovely book by Elaine Slade, the pictures makes one smile, if you have a grandchild they would love it

A simply beautiful book
This book is beautifully simple and simply beautiful on many levels. On the first level the story and rhythmic text are fun and engaging for young children to be able to join in. The message is on a completely different level and one that any age will truly appreciate. The illustrations are fabulous and capture the characters perfectly. A beautifully written and illustrated story with a positive message to both children and adults but most importantly very fun to read over and over again! I will be buying several copies as gifts. Charlie Farley deserves a place on every child’s bookshelf to remind them that they are special and unique!

I have read the book with a child who, currently, has no interest in books (AdHd and attachment difficulties). He was enthralled with the story and the illustrations. Quickly he spotted that there were squirrels on every page and he spotted the puppy wandering into the bushes which led to an accurate prediction of Charlie's heroism. He was easily able to identify with your characters. The exciting outcome for me was that he became aware that everyone has talents, including himself, and we shared 3 of them that came immediately to mind.

This is such a lovely book to read to children to promote the positive message that we are all differentbut that’s okay because it makes us unique! It’s full of amazing illustrations and activities at the back for both parents and teachers. This would be great a spart of a guided reading session, PSHE or to read at the end of the day!
Couldn’t recommend this book enough and I’m super excited to use this in my classroom in September.

I bought ‘Oh No Charley Farley’ for my niece’s birthday. She is a second child who finds it hard to live in the perfect shadow of her older brother, so this is a great book to boost her self esteem! Many lovely themes are touched upon in this lively, fun book from sibling rivalry to appreciating our own and each other’s strengths and there is some useful guidance for parents/teachers on ways of exploring these themes and emotions at the back of the book. I wish this book had been around when I had my own children and when I worked as an ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) in Primary school! Not only is it a really helpful book for encouraging children to like themselves but it is also full of fun, great illustrations, rhyme, humour and lots of excuses to shout, “Oh no, Charlie Farley!”
