Children in need of inspiration to read and write?
Want to give individual classes or a Key Stage an author-based experience that will enthuse them about writing and reading and will explore themes that equip children for life?
WHAT I CAN OFFER YOU
I am happy to do 30/45 minutes or 1 hour slots for EYFS, KS1 and KS2 classes, also for Community groups such as Libraries, Brownies, Rainbows, Cubs as well as adult groups.
The content will be decided with the main contact, who will liaise with staff/colleagues about the length of sessions and which story will be read to each class or year group or community group.
It can include
EYFS/KS1:
Reading the story
Asking questions about the story
Answer children’s questions to me
Fun tales or pictures/videos about the real Charlie Farley and Jasper
Short interactive role play
Agreed activity (with teacher) to explore the theme of the story
KS2:
Any of the above if required.
Complete a writing task with me to plan out a Charlie Farley story of their own
Author interview and the process of producing a storybook.
